Serum Free Recombinant Human Fibronectin for FN Detection in Premature Labor

Fibronectin (FN) is mainly synthesized by liver and vascular endothelial cells and widely present in animal plasma, body fluids and tissues. FN is a particularly important and well-studied component of the extracellular matrix, and is present during periods of change within tissues. It is upregulated and necessary in a number of developmental contexts, and it is also present during pathological progression of tissues and during wound healing. Thus, it has been studied in a broad number of contexts from basic science to pathology. Modern medical research has shown that the change of fibronectin content is closely related to various clinical diseases, such as premature labor, and the detection of fetal fibronectin content has very important clinical significance in premature labor.

A large number of studies have confirmed that only a small amount of fetal fibronectin (fFN) is contained in normal amniotic fluid and cervical vaginal secretions in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. When premature labor has contractions, the chorionic-decidual interface is broken, fFN penetrates into the amniotic fluid and cervix, and excessive fFN appears in cervicovaginal secretions. Therefore, the detection of fFN content is an effective means of monitoring to prevent premature labor and maintain the health of pregnant women and fetuses during the perinatal period.

OsrhFN, Recombinant Human Fibronectin, is expressed from rice grain by Healthgen Biotech’s world-leading patented rice endosperm specific expression platform (Oryz^HiExp), using gene recombination technology, and obtained through protein separation and purification technology, which retains the intact natural human plasma fibronectin PFn functional domain, its monomer molecular weight is about 210KD, and its purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE, with less than 0.5EU/ug endotoxin. Compared to commercial FN, OsrhFN has many advantages, such as

OsrhFN is a complete macromolecular protein with a monomer molecular weight of about 210KD, which is close to natural human plasma fibronectin(pFN), retains a complete functional domain, and has the same antigen-antibody binding site as pFN, while most of commercial FN are incomplete fragment with a molecular weight of 40-50KD.
