Lactoferrin(LF) is an important non-heme iron binding glycoprotein, which can strongly adsorb iron ions. Lactoferrin works as an iron carrier to provide the necessary iron elements in cell culture for cell growth to promote cell proliferation and differentiation. In addition, antibacterial lactoferrin can prevent bacterial contamination in cell culture.
