Description
Healthgen Biotech uses State-of-the-art platform called OryzHiExp, having high capacity to express proteins and peptides in the rice grain. The platform uses rice endosperm cells as a bioreactor to specifically and highly express various recombinant proteins and small peptides. The platform has such advantages, free of animal prions or virus from human plasma, more biological safety, environment friendly compared with other bioreactors. The rice derived rHSA is animal component free and can be used in the cell culture media supplements, cosmetics additivie, industrial biological reagents in pharmaceuticals processing and life science research.
Advantages
1. Healthgen Biotech recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) has excellent batch consistency. Using self-pollination rice as the bioreactor to express the rHSA, with the world's advanced facility and top production proceeding to extract and purify the rHSA, Healthgen Biotech can ensure the excellent consistency of rHSA from different batches.
2. The rice endosperm specific expression platform is easy to be large-scale. The rice endosperm has the protein body, which can keeps proteins stability and bioactivity.
At present, the production capacity is almost 1000 kg / year.
3. Recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) has good efficacy, such as rHSA has the same second and tertiary structure, physiological and biochemical properties with HSA from plasma. In addition, compared with HSA from plasma, rHSA has a lower immune source stimulation, and plays a better role in accelerating cell growth and metabolism, because rHSA is animal component free, which can avoid the prions or virus contaminants.
