Fibronectin (FN) is a ubiquitous extracellular matrix (ECM) protein that has been implicated in many essential cell processes including wound healing and embryonic morphogenesis as well as regulation of cell behaviors such as adhesion and migration. Because of this, it is used for wound repair in medicine and as an important raw material for stem cell culture in the field of life sciences. Nowadays, FN has been an effective biological raw material for skin care due to its powerful regeneration and repair capacity. Studies have shown that FN has the effects of promoting cell metabolism, anti-oxidation, anti-aging, anti-allergic, etc. in beauty and skin care. Its main mechanism is to promote cell growth.
OsrhFN, recombinant human fibronectin which is derived from rice grain and produced by Healthgen Biotech with its core patented rice endosperm specific expression platform(OryzHIEXP). OsrhFN has the same functions as native FN, while it has higher bioactivity in promoting cell regeneration and repairing. The R&D of Healthgen Biotech has finished a comparative test between OsrhFN and commercial native FN with professional biological detection methods, the result shows that OsrhFN has greater efficient in promoting CHO-K1 cell adhesion and growth than commercial native FN.
